This Plymouth 'Cuda is a 10.5"Lx 4"Wx 3"H die cast metal car with openable doors, hood & trunk, fully plumbed engine, working steering and suspension, detailed interior and soft rubber tires. This Plymouth Barracuda is manufactured by Highway 61. 60147 in PURPLE color. Individually packed in a window box. Box size: 14"Lx 6.5"Wx 5.75"H.As the 1960's drew to a close, the high performance car market hit it's stride. For 1970, Plymouth adapted the Barracuda to the E-body platform. Performanc-package 'Cudas five different V8 powerplants: the 340, 383, 440, 440+6, and the 426 Hemi, delivering anywhere from 275 to 375hp. 440s and the Hemi 'Cuda received a special high performance suspension, and the hood featured either standard nonfunctional hood scoops or an optional (standard on the Hemi) "shaker" scoop, so named because it was attached directly to the engine and shook as the engine revved. However, the Hemi proved as rare as hen's teeth, having been installed in under 700 ' Cudas.
