These rail clamps join the rails together. They are designed to clamp directly to the base of the rail without the sliding rail joiner that is a feature of LGB rail. The clamps also work well on Aristo-Craft rail. The Micro Engineering rail joiners are made of aluminum and will hold rails together, in alignment. Particularly useful where you have to cut rails to make a custom length, you do not need to try and fit the original sliding rail joiner back over the rails.
