HISTORIC 1961 Original Photo MINNESOTA TWINS Arrive in the TWIN CITIES ! Starting Bid 99 cents !!! .... Absolutely NO RESERVE !!! DESCRIPTION The TWINS have LANDED ! Offered is a Vintage 1961 ORIGINAL Photo from the Minneapolis Star Tribune depicting the arrival of the newly formed MLB club, the Minnesota Twins making their debut in the city they have called home ever since. This RARE, period TYPE I photograph originates from the archives of the Minneapolis Star Tribune and is the only known original (the Star Tribune never issued these to any other papers but rather it was used in-house at the time and is the one that appear in the pages of the paper back in 1961). Reverse of this 8" x 10" have a photographers credit from Star Tribune staff photographer John Croft and an APR 19 1961 stamp date (note that the Twins would play their 1st ever game in Minnesota two days later on April 21, 1961).
