is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own historic police memorabilia from the Kohler Strikes. This badge was recently found in the basement of the Kohler Police Department. After contact with the local historical society and donating to them what they wished to keep, we have decided to offer this item for auction. The item in this listing is an actual badge that was issued to the special police officers that worked during the strikes. To the winner of this auction will also come a signed letter on department letter from the Chief of Police indicating the authenticity of these items. At the bottom of this page is a short paragraph of the famous Kohler Strikes. Below you will also find a detailed list of the item pictured. Remember this item is coming direct from the police department, so you don't have to worry about the middle man.List of item shown: Original badge (Special Police Kohler Village No. 507). We have discovered that these badges are made out of copper and handstamped and scrawled by the Kohler Company. The badges are chrome plated. On July 17, 1934, the local AFL union suddenly called a strike. Ten days later, a riot broke out outside the plant and much company property was destroyed.
