is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own historic police memorabilia from the Kohler Strikes. This helmet was recently found in the basement of the Kohler Police Department. After contact with the local historical society and donating to them what they wished to keep, we have decided to offer this item for auction. The item in this listing is an actual riot helmet that was issued to the special police officers that worked during the strikes. This helmet is American made. To the winner of this auction will also come a signed letter on department letter from the Chief of Police indicating the authenticity of these items. At the bottom of this page is a short paragraph of the famous Kohler Strikes. Below you will also find a detailed list of the item pictured. Remember this item is coming direct from the police department, so you don't have to worry about the middle man.List of item shown: Original black riot helmet. This helmet is in used condition. The webbing inside the helmet is intact and does show some wear. The original leather chin strap is intact. T is no maker listed for this helmet. The number that is painted on the inside brim of the helmet is 102. It appears that this helmet may have been painted blue at one time as t is some blue showing through on the inside of the helmet.
