This is the extremely rare full-leather Easton Press edition of HISTORY OF ART by H.W. Janson and Anthony Janson, published with all the usual Easton Press high quality: Full leather covers exquisitely decorated with gilt; raised spine bands; attached satin bookmark; satin endpapers; gilt page edges; etc. This is the Abrams fifth edition of this standard work (ISBN 0810934426), in a special Easton Press version with the deluxe touches. Very Good condition with minor nicks to the gilt on the top and side edges, scuffs on the bottom page edges as shown; lower corners also have wear. Front satin endpaper has a lower corner crease along with the first five sheets of the book; pages are bright and clean and unmarked. A massive volume of 9 x 12 x 3 inches.
