Up for bid is an excellent re-bound hardcover copy of the Historty Of The City Of New Haven. It is original and authentic. It is a first edition and was published in 1887 by W. W. Munsell & Co. out of New York. It was edited by Edward E. Atwater. The binding is super tight because of the re-binbing. The first page has a dog ear, but the rest of the pages look good. Some slight chipping and tears to a few pages but nothing major. There also are a few of the onion skins, that protect the illustrations,missing. The book is complete with 702 pages. It also still retains it's gold gilt edges. The covers are blue in color with gold lettering on the spine. Great book on how New Haven, CT. got it's start, the people that played an important role and some of the things it had gone through up until 1887. Includes Illustrations of maps and important people that helped to establish New Haven up to 1887. Excellent readable, collectable copy of this book. Hopefully the pictures will help.
