How Beautiful Upon The Mountain, a History of Jacob's Pillow was completed by Ted Shawn in 1943. It contains eight chapters covering the history of the area beginning in 1790 through the dance season in 1943 . The pictures are phenomenal and several are shown in the gallery. Anyone who appreciates DANCE knows of the value of Jacob's Pillow, nestled in the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. This booklet has 2 signed entries on the 1st page. T are many pages of pictures from 1930 onward, all in terrific black & white. The cover is intact and shows normal wear. The original center staples are separated from the pages but the all appear to be t, even though they are not numbered. This would make a wonderful gift for that special person. If you love Dance, spend part of the summer season in the Berkshires, near Lenox.
