HMS VICTORY 34" handcrafted sailing ship wood model Dimensions: 34" (L) x 10" (W) x 26" (H) or (85 cm x 25 cm x 66 cm) This HMS VICTORY ship model is shipped to you fully assembled and ready for display, except that the bowsprit is not in position during shipping to reduce damage risk and to save on shipping cost. Installing only involves tightening rigging lines since they're correctly attached to the bowsprit. Wood model ship was built from scratch with plank on frame construction $38 shipping cost via USPS Parcel Select (7-9 days). International shipping $105. HMS Victory is a first-rate ship of the line of the British Royal Navy, laid down in 1759 and launched in 1765. She is most famous as Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. She was also Keppel's flagship at Ushant, Howe's flagship at Cape Spartel and Jervis's flagship at Cape St Vincent. After 1824 she served as a harbour ship. In 1922 she was moved to a dry dock at Portsmouth, England, and preserved as a museum ship. She continues to be flagship of the Second Sea Lord and is the oldest naval ship still in commission.
