HMV 101 WIND UP GRAMOPHONE Here is a vintage wind up gramophone for playing 78s, from around the 1920s which is in full working order and lovely condition for its age now it is around 80+ years old. It has been carefully cleaned and has had a brand new motor spring fitted, so will easily play one side of a record with one complete wind. I'm unsure which model soundbox it has, but it is finished in chrome with the HMV logo on (Nipper listening to a gramophone) and there are also various spare styli in the stylus tray. The inside of the lid drops down so as to store a few 78s and below this is wind up handle. Cosmetically, it is in really nice condition with the HMV logo on the lid inner being complete, all metal/chromework is shiny and the felt turntable mat is also complete and original. The black rexine covering is in good condition with slight marks as you would expect for its age. The leather carry handle has deteriorated, but is still useable. Fully portable to use just about anywhere as you don't need an electric power supply or batteries! Size - 42cm (16 1/2") x 29cm (11 1/2") x 15cm (6")
