This auction is for a Denver and Rio Grande Western (DRGW) Brass steam locomotive Consolidation of the "583" Class. It was manufactured by Samhongsa and imported by Key Imports and is undecorated. The locomotive is like new in the box and has never been used and is test run only. In the test run before the auction, it ran smoothly but twenty years on the shelf has left it dry and it had a few faint squeeks. It has a can motor and no wheel wear. The lead weight has never been installed and the original parts bag is still present. The original box is in great shape with some slight shelf wear but does have the nasty red foam. As a consequence, the locomotive and tender have some hints of the red color affecting the brass finish. This item is from an estate sale so its history is unknown.
