HO Fleischmann German National Railways (DB) 4-6-2 Express Steam Locomotive, Class BR 01 This listing is for a great-looking Fleischmann model of a 4-6-2 Express Steam Locomotive of the DB, Class BR 0150. It is Fleischmann Part Number 4170 that bears the German National Railways herald with the road number 01 220. It is DC Analog not DCC ready. This locomotive type was used for both a fast passenger and a goods (freight) train. This is a super-detailed locomotive with prototype livery and lettering. All characteristics of this model are faithfully reproduced even in the drivers cab with interior details inset windows, prototypical daylight between the boiler and chassis, separately mounted brake shoes between driving wheels, very fine spoke wheels, Heusinger valve gear and coupling rods, Witte smoke deflector plates, and a short coupled, 6 wheel tender. On this Fleischmann Steam Locomotives, drive is provided by 6 wheels on the tender of which four are fitted with traction tires for improved tractive effort. The tender has the standard Fleischmann #5610 HO Coupler while the front of the locomotive has a dummy hook. As the photos show, the paint and printing are excellent, the wheels show signs of some use and are very dirty.
