This lot is part of a large collection of trains from the estate of a collector/operator At auction is an HO scale Con-Cor U.S.ARMY HOSPITAL TRAIN Set, Limited Edition #0002 in its original box with foam inserts. The set consists of nine pieces as follows: · 4-6-4 Hudson Locomotive-Road # 5408 · Coal Tender-U S Army Transportation Corps · Pullman Combine Surgical Unit-USA 9006 · Pullman US Army Medical Department Diner #9007 · Pullman Ward Car #9008 · Pullman Ward Car #9009 · Pullman Ward Car #9010 · Pullman Ward Car #9011 · Pullman Observation Car-US Army Medical Department Staff Car #9012 The set appears to have never been used and is quite handsome. The whole train is finished in an olive drab color with each car marked with red crosses on the sides and top. I ran some test leads to engine and it runs as new. I inspected each piece and nothing is broken or missing. The set box reflects lots of handling and is worn in spots and also taped in spots but still decent. As stated this is a limited edition set and doesn’t come up for sale often in HO scale. This is a long impressive set that will look super either on a layout, on a display shelf, or of course, left in the box as a collectible.
