This auction sale is for ONE (1), HO-scale, Santa Fe (SF) railroad, (4-6-4) "HUDSON" type STEAM Locomotive, # 3461. This locomotive is produced by the MANTUA model railroading equipment manufacturer, is in Like NEW physical and operational conditions, as pictured. The locomotive is a powered SF RR (4-6-4) Steam Locomotive # 3461, factory painted Black, with White lettering & Maroon locomotive CAB roof, equipped with operating headlight. The locomotive body is highly detailed molded die-cast metal construction, with all metal wheels and worm gear drive mechanism. The locomotive Tender in factory painted Black, with 3461 on both sides, also highly detailed molded plastic construction, with all metal wheels, equipped with Kay-dee knuckle coupler. NOTE: The "HUDSON" type Steam locomotive began service during the 1930's and continued service through the 1950's railroading era. A few hudson type locomotives remain in service pulling historical excursion trains.
