Here we have a rare 1950's/60's Hohner Harmonetta in used but good condition for sale including it's original hard case and a well-used copy of a Harmonetta tutor book.Hohner produced these amazing instruments from the mid-1950's to the early 70's. This is an early example as the later models have white rings on two of the keys for reference. The keys are arranged in such a way that the player can play chords of three notes by pressing down one finger whilst also playing a melody with the other fingers. Each note has a three octave range depending on where the instrument is blown or sucked - to the left is low, the middle is the middle octave, and to the right is the upper octave. The instrument produces the same note whether blown or sucked. For a 50 year old instrument, this Harmonetta is in fantastic condition, however as to be expected it is not perfect and there are one or two things that I should point out. The lower D note is not producing a sound and there is a (very) slight blow through to the extreme right of the instrument when blown hard. The screws appear to have been undone at some point in it's history as there are some small scratches to the surface of the Harmonetta and the screws on the underside are not completely flush with the bottom of the unit. There are also a couple of matching small dents on the underside read more
