This is the 6" plate in the Fiesta line made by the Homer Laughlin China Company from 1936 through 1969. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and it has good glaze. There are a couple insignificant utensil scratches. The 6" plate was part of the line from the beginning and continued to be made throughout. The red color was part of the line from the beginning until 1943 when the US Government assumed control of the uranium oxide used in the glaze. In 1959 The Atomic Energy Commission granted a license to Laughlin to again purchase and use the depleted uranium oxide and red was then re-introduced to the line. This vintage Fiesta plate is 6 5/8" in diameter.
