Very unique collecting opportunity! The item being offered in this sale is an original Homer Laughlin Harlequin yellow fish. It is as good as new with no chips or scratches. According to Frederick Rhead's mold notes, the novelty animals were released October 25, 1939. These charming animals were made exclusively for the Woolworth trade and, as was harlequin, was designed under the direction of Frederick Hurten Rhead, Six shapes were made: A lamb, a penguin, a cat, a duck, a donkey, a turtle, and a fish (mold #1333). The four original colors were yellow, maroon, spruce green and blue. Small backyard area potteries also made these popular animals with their own decorations. Buyer within US pays for flat rate shipping with insurance. In other words the $7.50 includes insurance coverage . Item is avaiable to buyers in Canada.
