GOOD to VERY GOOD CONDITION This sale is for a large size quality vintage hardback FIRST FOLIO SOCIETY EDITION entitled “ The Odyssey ,” by Homer , translated in selection by F. L. Lucas and illustrations engraved on copper by John Buckland-Wright, including a frontispiece. It was published by The Folio Society, of London , in MCMXLVIII and is the 1948 FIRST FOLIO SOCIETY EDITION (stated). This was one of the earliest of the Folio Society productions – their 11 th title. The book is in very good neat condition for its age, with minor wear/bumps and is a little grubby/faded to the original buckram cloth hardback cover, with a previous owner’s signature at the front, foxing near the covers/rims, and no other ink or pencil markings in
