HONOLULU Hawaii Photo Kau Kau Korner Drive-In 1940s This auction is for an original photograph of the Kau Kau Korner Drive-In restaurant in Honolulu Hawaii taken sometime around WW2 or after (judging by the cars and military jeeps). Kau Kau Corner was a 24-hour drive-in at the intersection of Kapiolani and Kalakaua Aves. It opened in 1935 and was replaced by Coco's coffee shop in 1960. Currently the Hardrock Cafe is at this same location. This place was a super popular place for many years. w a car-hop would wait on you. The photo is smaller than a real photo postcard at 4.5" X 2.75 and is in excellent shape. This is an original print and not a reproduction. Red lettering "Another eBay Coasternut Auction" is only on the image provided and not on the actual photo. Postage is $1.50. Photo will be mailed in a rigid mailer to prevent damage. Thanks for looking! :-) Every postcard in all my auctions is guaranteed an original - real postcard, and old. All are the older standard size of approximately 3.5" X 5.5" (unless noted otherwise). All auctions for postcards show the complete postcard and images are never cropped to avoid showing edges. eBay images with printing "Another Coasternut eBay Auction" pasted across the image are only on the eBay photo scan of the image and NOT on the original item. Most items are nicer than the scanned
