I visit the Hopi reservation approx. every 6 weeks to trade with and buy from the Hopi craftsmen. Mostly on First Mesa, Tewa Village, and Polacca. All of the Kachinas I list are genuine Hopi and are traded for or bought from the craftsmen. Cottonwood contemporary full figure style Navan Kachina is approx. 7 1/2" tall. This is a very nicely done smaller kachina carving. The flowers, necklace and fir ruff are carved. He is holding a rattle in the right hand and a bow in the left. Cody is the 13 year old son of Delbert Dewangyumptewa. The kachina is signed. Navan Kachina is also known as Velvet Shirt Kachina and appears in regular kachina dances. Multiple Kachinas purchased on the same date ship worldwide for $5.00 each additional.
