Offered for sale is Slawter's Meat Packing in HO scale. The model was scratch built by Ken Spranza and used on the Hudson Point and Hawthorne Railroad. This is a unique structure comparable to others by the same builder that have sold between $175 and $300. The builder has produced similar models for commercial customers and museum display . This model has lighted sign flood lights on two sides. The windows are also lighted from the interior. The model includes 5 Preiser figures and one Magnuson Models resin cast vehicle. There are nine lights on two signs. The nine floodlights have 12 volt bulbs that were always operated at 9 volts for extended life. The model was made for a flat surface but could be adapted to a slight grade.This model was built using the foam core method as shown in the Online Clinics at . This is a solid structure with a very rigid frame. The HO scale brick is Slater's Plastikard styrene with painted mortar lines. Corbels and windows are Grandt Line except the store front. The roof is Plastruct Spanish Tile Roof. Downspouts, pipes, and vents are custom products. This structure base is 9 inches by 12 inches including the front sidewalk and driveway on the side.
