Little Brush Pony -written by R. Thompson-Grow in 1985, this is a first edition. Hardcover with DJ, published by Vantage Press. The book measures approximately 6¼ x 9¼ inches, and is 86 pages long. It is not illustrated. Summary: Chica is half mustang and half welsh pony. She is born into a happy life, but then, when her mother becomes ill, she is put into a different stall. In the morning her mother is gone. Chica wants to believe that she was returned to her beloved Nevada mountains to get better, and is determined to someday get there and find her. Chica is sold to a family with a little girl. The family eventually gets more horses, and ends up buying a ranch in Nevada and moving there. Chica has never forgotten her intention of finding her mother. When she becomes jealous of a new horse, she breaks out of her field, and heads for the mountains, not realizing the terrible dangers that await her. Condition: Good condition. The interior is bright, clean, and crisp. No stains, tears or creases. The only writing is an inscription on the front free endpaper. The binding is straight, secure and tight. The edges, corners and covers have light wear, with some rubbing. The DJ is fair. There is a piece missing from the bottom left of the front, and open tears at the corners.
