Up for auction is an original US red 1970-71 Mongoose in near mint condition. This redline shows little ware, maybe minor storage ware to the rear parachute mostly. The hood paint has what appears to be casting lines on the hood. These are not scratches and are only noticable upon close inspection. Also the hood stripe has a crease/fold near the hoods front edge. The red color ink on the Mongoose's "coke" branding on the trunks sticker & also on the Mattel logos on each side of the cars door stickers do show some fading. The redline wheels and chrome rims are in great shape. The base is shinny with minor tarnish.
