A beautiful old watch that has a hinged back and opens to expose it's inner jeweled workings that still runs and keeps time. This time piece is being sold for a value that is about equal to its gold price so the collectable or numismatic value is extra. I had rather let someone have the opportunity to enjoy the watch rather than seeing it destroyed for its gold. The serial no. is 38912 which gives it a production date of about 1875-79 Two of the nos. are missing on the 10 and 11
