Reverend Howard Finster (American 1916 - 2001) Framed in a "floating" manner on off-white archival paper under UV protective glass. Measures 24" x 36" framed. The original measures approximately 19.5" wide and 27" high and is raised above the bottom matt by approximately 1/2". Howard Finster was a Baptist Reverend and artist who claimed to be inspired by God to spread the gospel through the environment of Paradise Garden and over 46,000 pieces of art. His creations overlap folk art, outsider art, naive art and visionary art. His cover art for R.E.M.'s album "Reckoning" and Talking Heads' album "Little Creatures" introduced his work to a mass audience. Print is produced on heavy stock and hand-signed by the late Howard Finster.
