Howard Hughes "Famous Flight" commemorative token ( for a closer look!) Up for auction is a NEW IN BOX coin commemorating Howard Hughes' Famous Flight. It was pretty difficult taking a picture of the coin's detail, but on the front is an imprint of the Spruce Goose. On the back of the coin are the words: "First flight of the giant Hughes flying noat at San Pedro, Calif. Powered by eight 300 h.p. P&W engines and with a wing span of 320 ft. it was the world's largest airplane. PILOT: Howard Hughes Nov. 2, 1947" The token is made of .999 silver and is uncirculated. It measures 1.5" in diameter. A great collectible, it comes in a nice box lined in blue velvet. Thanks for looking!
