Howard Terpning Old Country Buffet - The Feast SIGNED Limited Edition (SOLD OUT) Print, 1994 for The Greenwich Workshop Inc. #1836 of 1850. 31" x 36".During his 25 years as an illustrator Terpning created magazine covers, story illustrations and advertising art for publications such as Reader's Digest, Time, Newsweek, Good Housekeeping, Field & Stream, McCall's, Redbook, and Ladies' Home Journal.In addition to illustrating for magazines, Terpning completed over 80 movie posters starting with The Guns of Navarone in 1961. Other examples include Cleopatra, Doctor Zhivago, The Sound of Music, The Sand Pebbles, and the 1967 re-release of Gone with the Wind.This print has been removed from a frame and has some residual marks from tape on the back and a tiny print flaw as seen in the attached images. The print depicts a group of Shoshone of all ages with traders among them interacting over food and trade. This engaging print is one of the largest Terpning painted, 27 individuals in the frame.
