This old & original ( it is not a reproduction ) circa 1950's broadside advertising poster shows " Howdy Doody "... " Clarabell " ...." Chief Feather Man "... and " Zippy the Chimp ." It is in bright yellow, red, white, and black and reads from top to bottom : " Hey Kids ! it's Howdy Doody Day...Your Howdy Doody TV Pals....Clarabell and His Famous Seltzer Bottle and Buffalo Vic From The Old Time Movies..Chief Feather Man..Zippy the Chimp ", with all these characters illustrated next to their names/descriptions. This real vintage poster was made by " Posters Inc., 835 Cherry St., Phila.", and measures 17 1/8" x 26 1/8". It has no major creasing or tears in its illustrated images ; does have some soiling and wear/tear in white border along top right-hand corner and a bit going down the right-hand side in border. This part could be easily cut off and poster would look very nice. On back there are stamped numbers/letters, which read : 17 x 26-156.....026-50.LBS. and there is a tire tread mark, which is clearly seen and helps show it was outside being displayed at one time...This poster will be shipped flat and secure inside two pieces of cardboard.
