Pretty Wolf Scene Trinket Box is great for wolf fans of all ages! This is a vintage trinket box from the 1980s. Made of cedar wood. Box is rectangular. Sides are clear varnished, bottom is not. You can see the pretty wood grain, and there is even a knot in the wood on the back to give it character. Inside is not varnished. You can smell the cedar smell. The top of the lid is made of masonite, and has the picture attached. Picture is a wolf howling at the big bright moon. He is by a lake withe a rocky shore. There are pines trees in the scene. The moonlight glistens on the scenery. You can even see the wolf's breath as he howls, making it look like a cold night in the scene. Box has gold brass hinged on the lid. There is a brass latch on the front that a tiny lock can be put on. On the front right side it has "West Virginia" stamped in bluish print. Some of the letters are worn, but it is readable. box is 9 3/8 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 3 1/8 inches high. Inside depth on bottom is 1 1/2 inches. Box is in good condition for age and use. It was used to store jewelry over the years. Inside is clean, and there is one darkened spot on the left side from something -it's just darkened not icky or anything. Hinges and latch work fine. There is some edge wear around the top edges where the picture is. There is some wear to the varnish
