Beautiful handpainted Meito floral 6 1/2" Deco style plate in lovely light powder blue with three floral panels surrounding the edge of the plate. Gold trimmed edged border, with very light wear, due to age, but still looks gorgeous for its age. Center of plate has stunning cherub scene transferware depicting three cherubs playing in a soft billowing cloud with one cherub clutching a rose branch in his hands. They are draped in soft pink and medium blue sashes. Vivid colors and rich detail throughout. Back of plate is marked Meito China, with a crown. Under that reads, Handpainted, Made in Japan. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, crazing, or hairlines.
