This kit replaces stock starting shaft and one way bearing in which the bearing slips or breaks. This kit includes (1) hardened starting shaft and (1) stainless steel hex nut.This kit works due to the fact that the starting shaft does not spin while your engine is running. The starting shaft only spins when pulled or roto started .So when the engine starts up the shaft does not spin. The hex nut won't slip because its set screw locks it in place over the preground flat on the starting shaft.(T ARE NO MODIFICATION TO YOUR TRUCK IN ORDER TO USE THIS KIT AND NO MAINTANANCE.) The starting shaft is hardend steel ( 6mm dia.). This kit will fit savage 21,25,F4.1.F4.6 This kit will work with your roto start or pull start. I use this kit in my own 25 savage and had no problems. If buyer is not satisfied after 30 days of purchase buyer can ship parts back to seller at buyers expense and original purchase price will be refunded.
