For over 15 years, we owned and operated a gallery and bookshop in Chicago specializing in promoting the arts and culture of the Philippines. Our collection comprised ethnic and tribal artifacts from various tribal groups in both the northern and the southern Philippines, primitive pottery, excavated porcelain ware from various Chinese dynasties, colonial pieces like santos and icons, vintage and contemporary paintings, and a vast library of scholarly written reading material. By promoting and showcasing the Filipino art and culture outside of the Philippines, we successfully created an awareness that was unrivaled. In addition to the gallery, as a method of educating, and sharing our culture with the general public, we also installed art popups in various public spaces, and collaborated with the Field Museum of Natural History in successfully developing two major exhibitions celebrating the Philippines Centenary of Independence. After many years in business, we had to close shop for health reasons. At this time, we are now offering our pieces at significantly reduced prices on eBay.
