Auction is for a Rare & HTF Notes On Nursing by Florence Nightingale - 1st. US Edition - 1860!!!!!! Free S/H!!! Awesome Find!! Measures approx. 5-3/16" x 8"...Hardcover...140 pages + (4) pages of advertising in the back. Title page properly marked "NEW YORK: D. APPLETON AND COMPANY, 346 & 348 BROADWAY. 1860.". Cover has wear including, but not limited to, some staining, a dent near the lower-right corner, and wear/damage to the spine. Binding is very tight for the age with no looseness. Water stain is present on the right side of the cover and gradually disappears at page 27. Inside front cover has some markings in pencil, a small label that says "Sold by L. Merriam, Greenfield" and a larger one that says "R. Howland, Apothecary. No.5 Bank Row, Greenfield, Mass.". Foxing is apparent throughout, some pages worse than others. Pages have some waviness.
