A HUGE UNFOILED CZECH FACETED SAPHIRET STONE! THIS IS ONE BIG GORGEOUS STONE IT MEASURES 14 MM X14 MM AND IT IS UNFOILED AND FACETED! IT COMES READY TO BE SET IN A LOVELY RING OR PENDANT. IF YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW SAPRHIRET glass was made in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia in the mid-19th century by mixing melted gold into sapphire-colored glass. The result was a glass which looked brick red or brown, but reflects an awesome Blue MAUVE color. Saphiret quit being made around the turn of the century as the price of gold became too high. It is quite rare to find and have become very collectible. THIS STONE IS PARTICULARLY LOVELY, PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES FOR IT'S LOVLEY COLOR CHANGE. IT IS IN PRISTINE FINE CONDITION!
