I have searched many antique ships wheels on eBay, but saw none THIS SIZE . This antique ships wheel measures 48" from handle to handle. The measurement of the ring alone is 32" in diameter. The joints on one side of this huge wheel are fastened together with copper plates and brass rivits. This wheel also includes the large 12' long brass bolt and nut that mounted it. I saw no other wheels that include this type of original hardware!I do not find any manufacturers marking or name of the ship. This Antique wheel is in good condition, t are two different cracks w w the lap joints occur in the assembly of this wheel. Finish is in very good condition, with wear on the hanldes from use.
