I’ve seenmany antique and very large copper jam/cooking pots advertised on E-Bay, but never anything quite this lovely or this size. It’s a real beauty, dating from I’d guess the early to mid 19 th Century … I’ve cherished it for a mere 53 years. It is in excellent condition for age and perfect either for serious cooking or as a decorative piece. It weighs a mighty 5.5Kg (12lb) Diameter is 43.5cm (17¼ inches) or 51cm (20¼ inches) from handle to handle. The Maker is not known (by me), but he has left his mark just off centre on the base - a 5mm diameter eight-pointed sun motif (See photo 3). The reserve is less than an offer I’ve already had for it – and you surely wouldn’t be disappointed at anything like that price … Payment by PayPal requested, and UK delivery only, please. You could collect from North London (but I would deliver free of charge within a five-mile radius of Camden Town). Alternatively, I could send it for £15.00.
