A quite stunning and very large early C20th French Rococo Style Ornate Gilt Gesso Frame from a Chateau in Northern France. This stunning frame has a superb 6 inch moulding and measures 44 inches x 28 inches with rebate measurements at 32 inches x 16 inches. The frame previously held a substantial landscape oil, but would be equally ideal for a large mirror. The frame is in good condition for an item which is 100 years old with only a few minor bumps, commensurate with the age of the frame, and no damage or losses. The photos show what a hugely impressive and quite unique frame this is, a fabulous statement piece that would grace any wall.
