This auction is for a collection of 31 early 19th century documents that have taken me years to collect. Since moving to a smaller apartment i have decided to pare down my collection(s). This group of documents dates from 1813 to 1838 with only one from 1847 and i believe only 2 from 1860 and 1863. All are handwritten receipts for various items from Land to hardware to Cattle. One is an 1837 notice of a Cattle sale. Eleven documents are for a William Shake of Oldham, Kentucky and follow him from 1825 to 1863. The others are from New England, mostly New Hampshire, and Vermont. This is absolutely a great lot of antique documents. Buying these separately would have (and did ) cost $5.00 to $15.00 each. I am listing these 31 documents at a low starting bid of $50.00 for the lot. They are worth at least 4 times that. All are in very good condition and guaranteed authentic. I do not sell copies or reprints. T are just too many to show photos and descriptions of each.
