Now that Spring has arrived and open windows with the curtains dancing in the breeze, I am quite pleased to be releasing some very unique vintage LOTS that combine the avid interests of several former owners! Very often when I find a special vintage collection, I feel it deserves an elevated presentation and an "artful vintage storage" when not in use"! I have several separate listed LOTS that honor the past owners and combine to create a whimsical display and continued usage. One of the families enjoyed HAND EMBROIDERY and I acquired a large array of their hand stitched pieces. **Even the Father took to this needlework, as one of the pieces was found with a hand written note!!** The other family must have SURELY enjoyed a passion for baking, based on the wide array and quantity that I discovered. Both of these collections inspired one-of-a-kind presentations that you will see in the current listings. The addition of the wide assortment of vintage table linens, aprons, doilies and other accessories just added to the display and usage! Please be sure to view the MANY of which combine to offer a host of usage and cottage quaint charming display! Offered for auction is one HUGE TWENTY-THREE (23) PIECE LOT of COPPER COOKIE CUTTERS. These are LARGE SIZE COOKIE CUTTERS and the collection intrigued me. When I returned home with them, I wanted to see some on line recommendations for the best method to lightly clean them to prepare the group for photos. The copper cutters are 1 1/16" thick **and the GIRAFFE is 7" TALL!** One of the very first hits identified their origin!! They are MARTHA STEWART COPPER COOKIE CUTTERS in what appears to be TWO THEMED COLLECTIONS of NOAH'S ARK meets the CIRCUS, or? I like this imagery better: THE CIRCUS ANIMALS BOARD NOAH'S ARK and they live happily ever after! (Along with the RINGMASTER & CLOWN) They are all stamped: MARTHA BY MAIL with the BEE LOGO. ALL of the cutters are the same 1 1/16" thickness/depth in a heavy, sturdy copper metal. CIRCUS: DANCING BEAR: 5" X 5" in TUTU, CIRCUS PONY HORSE LEAPING: 6", SEAL BALANCING BALL ON NOSE: 5 1/4" HIGH, ELEPHANT STANDING UPRIGHT: 6" HIGH, LION: 6" LONG, UPRIGHT SEAL: 4 1/2" HIGH, RINGMASTER: 7" HIGH x 4 1/2" WIDE, CIRCUS CLOWN: 6 1/2" HIGH x 5" WIDE, ELEPHANT: 6 1/2" LONG, MONKEY 5 1/4" HIGH. I lightly washed these in warm soapy water, towel dried them then lined up the "animal parade" for photos. The overall CONDITION is EXCELLENT! **There is the natural patina in places that copper cookie cutters are known for. I did NOT polish them. They appear to have been possibly used ONCE. I love the copper shading and distinctive shapes in the highest quality material and construction that MARTHA STEWART is known for, along with her amazing royal icing decoration skills. This lot IS an instant collection to inspire year round usage from themed children's birthday parties, individual party favors, cookie Christmas tree ornaments AND I can even envision an evergreen CHRISTMAS tree or wreath decorated WITH the cookie cutters when not in use! These copper cookie cutters belong on display. They exude a warmth and classic charm and "glow" that is timeless. With SO many animal shapes to choose from or combine, get your best sugar cookie, ginger bread and rolling pins ready!! All of the MARTHA STEWART COOKIE CUTTERS are clean, will each be wrapped in tissue and packaged meticulously to ensure safe travel to their new owner.
