HUGE Nippon Scenic Cobalt Blue 18 inch Vase NR

DETAILS: We are listing this very tall antique Japanese Nippon china very tall vase decorated with flowers and scenic reserves at NO RESERVE with a starting bid of $9.99 . This vase has an underglaze cobalt blue background color with two large reserves holding hand painted landscapes with lakes, trees, and mountains. The reserves are accented with hand decorated heavily raised gold encrusted chrysanthemums with trailing leaves and stems.

If you buy more than one eBay lot from us, we are always happy to combine multiple purchases together in one box whenever possible to save you some money on shipping and handling charges. It should cost about the same to ship two or more lots together as it would to ship only one by itself, plus any additional insurance charges.

MARK/SIGNATURE: Appropriate overglaze aqua blue printed maple leaf mark to the underside with the words NIPPON Hand Painted. This is a mark used by the Morimura Bros., which later became the Noritake Company.

CONDITION: In good to very good condition free from cracks, scratches, stains, alterations or repairs. T are a few typical and expected very minor factory original manufacturing flaws that are mentioned just for the record, including a tiny dark spec to the glaze in the center of one of the reserves.

T is some expected minor fading and wear to the gold, most noticeable to the top rim and top edges of the handle. T is almost no gold wear to the fancy gold flowers and raised gold beading.

The only significant condition issues are a small 1/4 of an inch by 1/8 of an inch flat flake to the lower part of the gold decorated foot (see photos) and a burst bubble factory flaw on the foot of the base. These are not at first very noticeable, but they can be seen under close scrutiny.

Despite the minor conditions detailed above, this vase will display as in good to very good condition as it is. With professional touch-up this vase will likely display as in very good to excellent condition.

MEASUREMENTS: This vase is very tall! The approximate height is 18 inches.
