Up for bid is this huge Mission footstool / bench with quartersawn oak and original button-downed black leather top with large internal springs. Through tennon construction in legs and lower stretcher support. Great original red oak finish (darker ebonization on bottom of legs and more of a red oak finish on the top half of the stool / bench). Leather in great condition with only minor wear. Would work great with a large Stickley Chair or a Morris Chair. Looks to be made by a woodshop cabinetmaker circa 1915-1920. The underside has numerous screws for secured and solid construction and drilled holes in the wood for air movement to circulate. Measures 27" W x 17" D x 18" T.
