This is a beautiful, huge Rutile section from Montpelier, Va. It weighs 3.65 pounds and measures about 5 by 2.5 by 4 inches. It is REALLY dense, and looks to be 99 percent Rutile. There is just a trace of feldspar on this one. It is really glossy, with a lot of that red flash rutile is known for. This stuff is limited as it came from an isolated lens found on a field trip to the quarry. The largest intact piece found weighed 45 pounds!!! Buyer gets the 3.65 pound piece pictured.
