offered from my mother in law's personal collection is a gorgeous vintage art deco AMETHYST WITH DIAMONDS AND RUBIES ring. the stone measures a whopping 22.21 x 17.14 mm and is a rectaglar step cut stone. the gorgeous 14k gold setting with diamonds and rubies set on each side is just breathtaking. the ring is probably a size 10 or 11 but could easily be resized to fit any finger. as you can see, it appraises at $2500 (done in March of 08 by mcgee jewelers, a highly reputable store in indianapolis). the part of the appraisal that i have covered is my home address and the buyer will have that soon enough. please note that my camera makes this stone appear a little more blue than what it is but this is an awesome piece of amethyst and it is truly purple. a copy of the appraisal will accompany the ring. insurance is required for this item and is included in the cost of shipping. as these are estate items, all sales are final. indiana buyers to pay 7% sales tax. i've had a couple inquiries about the clarity of the stone so i've added a few pics of it sitting on the windowsill. although they do not show the details of the ring itself, i have added these so you could see that the stone is clear. the color runs so deep because of the size and depth of the stone. any imperfection shown in the picture is strictly a reflection of the sun
