Guitar Amp Hughes & Kettner ATS 112 This really is two amps in one: A tube amp with pre-amp and power-amp tubes (ECC 83 & ECC 82) A transistor amp with great clean sounds Two Channels Boost Voicing Reverb Compressor Equalizer 12" Celestion Vintage Speaker 100W RMS The amp is very versatile and also works great as an acoustic amp. With this amp Hughes & Kettner started the great hybrid amp era, combining tube sound with the benefits of solid state technology. The ATS 112 has been very popular with Jazz guitarists due to its clean channel. This includes a compressor that's integrated into the volume dial and creates a very warm, sustain-rich sound. CLEAN: Volume, Bass-, Mid- and Treble-controls, Reverb. A very nice, clean and warm channel that doesn't distort. Lots of power and presence that stands out in a band. The channel also has been the godfather of the later H&K Jazz amp. On high volume settings a compressor kicks in which can be switched between fast and slow modes. LEAD: With selectable boost and EQ. Controls or Volume, Gain, Drive and "Voicing", a three band EQ plus edge and presence. With controls for both pre- and power-amp any number of crunch or lead sounds can be accomplished.
