WE COMBINE SHIPPING DESCRIPTION: Unusual Hugo Meyer Gorlitz 3" f4.5 (to f22) lens in box case with accessories, most likely for an 8mm or 9.5mm pre-WWII movie camera. Made in Germany, also marked Hugo Meyer Gorlitz New York. Uncoated glass is very clear, usable as it is without any cleaning if you have the camera it fits on. Which brings us to the question, what does it fit? Note the last photo is of the rear of the lens. The tab turns the lugged plate freely. Comes in what appears to be the original case (though not so marked). Comes with the lens hood (shown attached in the first photo), a screw-in yellow filter also made by Meyer, a push-on clear filter with no markings, two plastic cases marked Meyer Gorlitz for the two filters (hinges broken on both cases), a leather lens cap with string marked Meyer and a Hugo Meyer yellow push on filter that doesn't fit this lens but will stay with it as it came with it. Cosmetics excellent (but not mint) as you can see. Focus is smooth, marked in feet, has an odd design as the helical threads are exposed when focusing back from infinity (shown in the first photo). Aperture works fine. A cute little (3.5" off the lens mount at infinity) lens, we would really like to know what it fits.
