This figurine is actually a bank. Made with a metal lock and key on bottom. Originally modeled by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1939. Restyled by Rudolf Wittman in 1963 - This is the older model. The object into which "Little Thrifty" is putting her coin is a medieval form of a poor box, something which can still be found in old European churches. This piece measures right at 5" tall. IN MINT SHAPE! A great addition to your collection - #118 - Questions? Feel free to email me. Thanks for looking. Good luck bidding! Note: The key comes with this piece!!
