My auction is for a beautiful MJ Hummel figurine titled "Flower Madonna'' This is mold 10/1 and stands approx 8.5'' tall. Absolutely pristine without chips, cracks, crazing or repairs of any sort. It has the first of the Full Bee marks and it is ''incised'' on the bottom. The word ''Germany'' is printed in black. The TKM-2 full bee mark was used between 1940-1959, but the incised mark was used first followed by stamps in black and then blue, in that order. So this figurine is from the early 1940's. The list value for this Madonna is $475. It would make a lovely gift for any Hummel collector. This was a rare find and is looking for it's new owner!The Madonna is wearing a long white cape that is encrusted with tiny raised flowers, she hold the baby Jesus and is showing him a flower while a tiny bird sits on a book in her lap. Really beautiful. She wears an open halo on her head and her hair flows in waves down her back and over her shoulders.
