It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs anyw It features a Guardian angel sheltering a young boy and girl from harm. Measuring 9” in height, it is one of the largest of Figurines made by Goebel and/or Hummel. It is an older version with the Goebel trademark 3 dating it to the years between 1960 and 1972. Entirely handpainted in Germany by skilled Goebel artisans, the details are what make this so special. As with all angels made by Goebel, the face captures the essence of serenity and grace. Dressed in a red robe over a pale blue gown, this angelic protector has her arms outstretched to encircle the pair. Beautiful from every angle, the subtle color variations of her wings are in sharp contrast to her red flowing cape. The children dressed in traditional Bavarian clothes, are identical to those in Hummel #94 called Surprise or Hansel and Gretel.
