Up for bid is a classic School Boy Hummel, with the markings underneath indicating the time period as manufactured from 1960-1972. The marking below is what I found in my research. (See photo for marking on Hummel School Boy underside.) 1960-1972 The manufacturer's signature mark, M.I. Hummel is imprinted on the top of the base. The numbers 82/0 appear imprinted on the bottom of the base, along with what looks like a 1. The piece stands approximately 5" tall and 3" wide. On his base is a label which displays "School Boy." This Hummel is a fine classic, with very little wear and no chips or cracks, with some crazing on the base and boy; not to detract from the fine presence of the piece. It is the perfect addition to a collection of timeless treasure, nostalgia, or accent pieces. This excellent edition is delightful for display or presented as a gift, and though classified as used, is well-cared for; presented and sold in "as is" condition.
