This Hupa hat is another from my collection of Indian Baskets .Hupa hats from this period have up to 200 weaves per sq. inch and are considered some of the best Baskets in the world.It has two places on the lip that the first weave is missing .This can be seen in the third picture. The rest of the basket is fine to mint condition. A great basket for someone's collection. This basket is 3"high,6 3/4" wide at the lip and I believe this to be a young person's hat. To my knowledge, it has not been modified in any way and I have been the owner of this hat for 20 years.
